Jim Hale, President (Term expires 2013)
My wife and I moved to Woodmoor in 2003.  After retiring as an Air Force colonel, I worked in the aerospace and defense industry as an operations manager and Vice President of Business Development.  I've been a Woodmoor Architectural Control Committee member for almost seven years.  I ran as a candidate because I want to become more involved in shaping the future of Woodmoor and to protect the values that drew my family to Woodmoor.  I believe Woodmoor needs a five-year long-range strategic plan.  I believe we must protect Woodmoor's "crown jewels" which are our excellent Woodmoor Protective Service, our Professional Office Staff, and the right mix of governance documents.

Kirstin Reimann, Vice President (Term expires 2014)
Currently I serve on a Homeowner's Association Board of Directors in one of the most successful HOAs in Grand County. I have extensive experience balancing covenant enforcement with the property owners' needs and concerns. I have dealt with a myriad of issues facing our HOA in Grand County, including fire mitigation efforts and numerous dead trees resulting from pine beetles.  Both my husband and I serve in the Air Force. I have spent the last sixteen years as a Public Affairs Officer and currently serve as a Reservist at Air Force Space Command Public Affairs at Peterson Air Force Base. In my job, I have served as a liaison between the base and the Colorado Springs community, media outlets, and internal Air Force audiences throughout many Major Commands in the Air Force as well as overseas in deployed locations. I would like to leverage on these talents and further improve communication between the board of directors, the surrounding community, and property owners.  My husband, three children, and I moved into the Woodmoor area because of its location and sense of open space with all the trees and wildlife. To me this neighborhood embodies an environment conducive to wholesome family living. My goal is to preserve the independent spirit of mountain living while upholding everyone's desire for a vibrant and well-maintained neighborhood. It would be my great pleasure to serve you in the capacity of a Woodmoor Improvement Association board member. My door will always be open to serve the members of the Woodmoor community.

Jeff Gerhart, Secretary (Term expires 2015)

I grew up in Colorado Springs after my family moved there in 1961. I have lived in the local area since that time and have been a resident in Woodmoor for the past 10 years. I have a Computer Science undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Colorado. I am married to my best friend Vicki and have three daughters - Ashley, Madison and Breanne. I have 30+ years of experience in the Information Technology business where I have performed in various technical, sales and management roles. I am currently employed as a Certified IT Specialist working for IBM.  I have served on the Woodmoor Forestry Committee since 2002 and enjoy working with the Woodmoor Improvement Association staff and the Forestry team. My father had a friend who started a Church that met in the barn when I was growing up. I always enjoyed trips up from Colorado Springs to attend that Church and had my sights on living in Woodmoor at some point. Woodmoor is a special place and I think I can add value serving on the Board as we promote keeping it that way.

Nick Oakley, Treasurer (Term expires 2013)
My wife, Barbara, and I have two children.  I currently serve on the WIA Covenants Review Committee and have been a Woodmoor property owner for 31 years.  I received my BS degree in Business Administration and am a veteran of the US Army.  I retired from the Louisville Ladder Group as Regional Sales Manager.  Organizations I have served include:  Home Builders Association, El Paso County Regional Building Department as Chairman of the Mechanical Committee, and LPHS Booster Club and Assistant Football Coach.  As a member of the Board, I will strive for accountability, fiscal responsibility, covenants enforcement and effective planning.

Anne Stevens-Gountanis, Director of Architectural Control (Term expires 2014)
Anne and her husband, Bob moved into the Woodmoor area eight years ago after Anne’s retirement. Anne is no newcomer to contracting and building. When she lived in Vail, CO, she and her previous husband had their own development company. They purchased undeveloped property in Avon and built many of the initial homes in the area to include town houses, apartments and single family homes.  Anne continues to be involved in the community since her early days in Colorado Springs. She has been a Camp Fire and Cub Scout leader; an involved member in the PTA; a library aide in both the Cheyenne Mountain School District and in Eagle County School District's libraries; a member of the District Accountability Committee in Eagle County; and has assisted in the reading program at Grace Best Grade School here in the Tri-Lakes area. She has been an active supporter of Monument Hill Sertoma and the Monument Hill Kiwanis.  Ann is a commercial pilot and has owned flight schools in Montana and Wyoming as well as flying for one of the largest ranging and farming concerns in a three-state area. During this time she had her own optical business, flew ophthalmologists, dentists and hearing specialists to outlying areas in Montana and Wyoming. Her professional career as a pilot/instructor concluded working with one of the largest domestic airlines.  Projects of interest are: Maintaining the beauty of Woodmoor, communicating with our residents and listening to their concerns and assisting with their problems, forestry, implementing a plan to create a walkway adjacent to Woodmoor Drive to be used by students walking to and from the Middle School, and of course Woodmoor Public Safety.

Paul Lambert, Director of Public Safety (Term expires 2013)
Our family moved to Woodmoor in 1998 after retirement from the military.  For the past 11 years, I have been employed in the Aerospace Defense Industry.  I served on the Architectural Control Board of Woodmoor for several years before becoming a Board Member in 2002 - 2005 when I was appointed to replace a Board Member that had resigned.  I was then elected to the Board, first as Secretary and then as Director of Public Safety. I have recently changed jobs and have more time to volunteer to support the community. I think my past experience on the Board will be valuable to help the Woodmoor Community chart the direction of the Community in the years ahead.

Darren Rouse, Director of Covenants (Term expires 2015)
My wife and I have lived in Woodmoor for nearly 2 years now, and in central Colorado for 5 years.  As a Woodmoor resident, I look forward to serving the community to both maintain the quality of life in our neighborhood, as well as improve the level of service that the WIA provides to its residents.  I am a licensed architect in the states of Colorado and Texas with over 20 years in the design and construction industry.  I served in the U.S. Army for 5 years in the engineer corps, and now work for a Colorado-based construction company on military/federal construction projects.  My wife and I enjoy walks in Woodmoor, exploring the beauty of Colorado, and serving others.  I appreciate your vote to allow me to serve our community!

W. Lee Murray, Director of Common Areas (Term expires 2014)
I served 28 years in the US Air Force and retired in January of 1990 as a Colonel. My education includes a BS in Physical Education from Texas A & M, a Master of Political Science from Auburn University, and completion of NATO Defense College in Rome, Italy.  Since that time I received a Real Estate broker's license and went into that business. During that time I became familiar with the Woodmoor area which led to my wife and I building our home in South Woodmoor. To help keep Woodmoor a great place to live, I've volunteered and participated in Firewise & Forestry activities and served as Director of Common Areas since August of 2010. I have familiarized myself with all of the Common Area properties and have been involved with several projects including the current project of getting Common Area signs refurbished and/or replaced.

Eric Gross, Director of Forestry (Term expires 2015)

As is the case with many residents, I chose to become a Woodmoor homeowner because of the beauty, serenity, and privacy of the forested neighborhood.  A microelectronics designer and technical project manager by profession, I was not originally well prepared to maintain the forest and land surrounding my home.  I’ve added to my local area woodland knowledge over the last 16 years however, by engaging in cleanup, fire mitigation efforts, and forest health maintenance activities for a 4 acre mountain-view lot on the western side of Woodmoor.  I’ve managed my property as best I could using piece-meal information available from WIA, State Forest Service pamphlets, Internet research, and suggestions from my neighbors but that’s been a drop in the bucket compared to the focused forestry advice and experience received from Jim Woodman and Carolyn Streit-Carey.  I’ve been so impressed with their positive attitude and knowledge base that I’ve become a Woodmoor tree monitor/Firewise volunteer to help our community maintain the fragile forestry environment that lured me here so many years ago.  In my capacity as Tree Monitor, I've enjoyed meeting with many Woodmoor homeowners that share my concern and enthusiasm for our forests.  I would be honored to continue to contribute to that effort in the capacity of Tree Monitor and/or Directory of Forestry should the Woodmoor Board and community-at-large allow.
