WIA Database vs. Message/Bulletin Board

WIA has both a Resident Database (link on the top, left of every page) AND a Message/Bulletin Board (a button on the main menu at the top of the page). It is easy to think they are the same thing, but they are not.

The Database contains resident data such as name, address, phone number, e-mail, newsletter delivery preference, etc. In the future, this information will be used for USPS mailing and/or E-mailing to residents.

The Message/Bulletin Board is contains forums for residents to use to communicate their thoughts/ideas to all other residents that are signed up on the Message/Bulletin Board. The Bulletin Board will be occasionally monitored by WIA in order to understand the residents' concerns. This is a great way to communicate with your neighbors.
