WPS - Other Services

 

WPS Officers will respond to almost any complaint or concern received by a Woodmoor resident. If you have any question, concern, complaint, please call
499-9771 and a WPS officer will assist you. We may not be able to help you on all your calls, but we will do our best to resolve any issue you may have or at least we will be able to guide you to the correct agency that will assist you.

The most important service that WPS provides for the community would be Crime Prevention. Crime prevention can come in many forms. It can be the presence of WPS patrolling the community; it could be giving safety and positive choice classes in the schools; or it may be giving a neighborhood watch meeting. All of us at WPS are committed to crime prevention. If you see anything suspicious, please call the WPS mobile phone at 499-9771.

Our most popular service provided to the residents of Woodmoor would be our Vacation Checks. The WPS officers will walk around your house at least once per day and check for any unlocked doors, vandalism, pick-up any newspapers, make note of any packages that may have been delivered and put in an inconspicuous spot or notify an RP (responsible party) of the delivery. If you would like to set-up a vacation check, please call the WPS office at 488-3600.

Another valuable service we provide is our Home Security Survey. We will walk around your house with you and go over security concerns with your house. This service usually takes only about 20 minutes to complete. If you would like to have the chief of WPS come out to do this with you, please call the office at 488-3600.

WPS also carries a vehicle lockout kit. All WPS officers are briefed with the use of this kit, but we are not professionals at unlocking vehicles. If you have an emergency and have locked your keys in the car, call the mobile number 499-9771 and an officer will assist you. You will have to sign a waiver of liability and we can only offer this service to Woodmoor residents and the vehicle will have to be in the Monument area.

WPS will also assist you in organizing your area into a Neighborhood Watch Area. If you would like to get your neighbors together for a neighborhood watch meeting, Please call the WPS Chief for assistance.

All seven WPS employees work a ten-hour shift. They will work a four-day on, four-day off schedule. That gives the Woodmoor community 24 hour coverage, 7 days a week, all year round, even on holidays.
