Community Center

The Community Center keeps Woodmoor desirable.

The Barn has been in its present location for almost 100 years, as it was built in 1919. It burned down in the early 1940s and was rebuilt. It served as a working dairy barn until the early 1960s when Steve Arnold (the developer known as The Woodmoor Corporation) bought the property. The building was eventually repurposed to be the Community Center for Woodmoor.

WIA has remodeled The Barn a few times over the years, but has continued to use it as the Community Center for Woodmoor residents and non-residents alike. People hold all types of functions here, from birthday, anniversary, and Christmas parties to weddings and receptions, seminars, meetings, classes, church services, etc.

Weddings

The Woodmoor Community Center is a great venue for a small wedding. With Lake Woodmoor views off the back deck and multiple scenic areas around the Barn, your photographer will have a lot of options for great photos.

Parties

The Woodmoor Community Center is an ideal location for a company party or a gathering of old friends. The downstairs kitchen has a full refrigerator/ freezer and stove and microwave to prepare a spread they will not forget.

Graduations

With too many people to entertain at home, the Woodmoor Community Center is popular for Graduation Parties. In May and June the weather is perfect to enjoy cocktails and appetizers on the lakefront deck.

Meetings & Conferences

Sometimes the best creativity and team building happens outside of the office. The Community Center at Woodmoor is an ideal location to host a small conference or team building activity for your business.
